In recent years, the concept of “supply problems” has become prevalent, especially in the realm of phones and automobiles. You may recall that when the iPhone 14 series was first released this year, it experienced significant stock shortages. We are about to face a much bigger problem with the iPhone 15 series. So, who is responsible for this? Here are the supply issues and details related to the iPhone 15…
The screens produced by LG have failed in tests!
LG Display and Samsung have begun screen production for the new iPhone 15 series. Apple is transitioning to a new design language for the iPhone 15 that it hasn’t used in its other devices. In an effort to keep the chassis proportions the same, Apple has slimmed down the frames of the iPhone 15, increasing the screen size. In other words, the iPhone 15 series will offer the same chassis but with a larger screen.
In previous years, the chassis proportions of the iPhone 11, 12, 13, and 14 series varied according to the screen size. Instead of slimming down the chassis, Apple played with the screen proportions to achieve larger displays. However, slimming down the edges of the iPhone 15 chassis led to the emergence of new problems.
Additionally, the tests conducted with the new iPhone 15 screens were unsuccessful. Reports indicate that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max screens produced by LG failed during tests when they were being integrated into the metal chassis. Some issues that arose during the integration process compromised the durability of the screens. Moreover, there were problems with dust and water resistance. As a result, Apple is modifying the design of the screens produced by LG.
As for the screens produced by Samsung, there have been no such reports of issues. Samsung-produced screens do not encounter such problems. Other news sources claim that due to screen problems, Apple may delay the unveiling of the iPhone 15.
However, the screen issues from LG are not hindering the unveiling. Apple plans to initially limit the stock of iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models, slowing down the supply process. Later, with the production of new panels, the supply issues are expected to be resolved. So, what do you think about the iPhone 15 screen and supply issues?
